Dear Anime-Classic,

I'm currently enjoying Urashiman A LOT. This, along with shows like Rose of Versailles and Ganbare Kickers etc, was one of my favourites. It's actually quite indiscribable how it feels to rediscover all these classics. And frankly, I just have a lot of respect for you for that. So, gonna humbly make a request for more awesomeness, please:

Saber Rider and the Star Sherriffs - it's got that futuristic sci-fi feel of Urashiman and the whole team of heroes in various coloured outfits kicking arse across the universe thing. Plus arguably THE best opening theme of all time.

Robin Hood no Daibouken - an adaptation of the Robin Hood story, but if my thirteen-year old memories serve me right, it involved quite a bit of mysticism and weirdness.

Thank you very much again for Urashiman, and keep up the awesome work!

A high Quality sub of 'Armor Hunter Mellow Link'. A great OVA from 88 but the only fansub in circulation is terrible in video quality.  Would literally pay a good deal for a clean, quality version. Anybody have raws available?

We have the DVDs.  The problem is getting someone to provide a translation that doesn't blow (the Arctic subs were rubbish) in a timely manner.

So many people think that it's just finding the raws...

I hear you. I don't know how much I can do but I will keep an eye out for any leads on translations or those willing to translate. I know alot of native Japanese speakers on my music forums that are always willing to translate web pages and manuals and such for instruments. Perhaps they would like to help, its a long shot but not an unreasonable one.
An AC version would certainly be the best icing on the cake.

NEW VOTOMS ANIME

The ASCII Media Works publisher's Dengeki imprint is announcing the Sôkô Kihei VOTOMS : Gen-ei Hen (Armored Trooper Votoms : Phantom Arc) original video anime (OVA) series, which will start next march. 26 years after the original Armored Trooper Votoms combat robotic mecha anime series aired, this six episodes new video series is slated to be the final chapter in the franchise. Dengeki showcased the new designs for previously seen characters Vanilla Vartla, Bouleuse Gotho, and Coconna. The official website for the project will open at the http://www.votoms.net/gen-ei/ address with a questionnaire for fans.

Once again, but harder this time, we need someone to translate Votoms : Shining Heresy !
It's the only not-fansubbed chapter of the franchise. Only five episodes !

AnimeClassic, Msubs, Shinsen, John Doe, after all these years, please do the right thing !
The end of the saga is comin' and Shining Heresy is set just before.
